(Limburg/Braunschweig), July 13, 2022 – Ron Kneffel, Head of Information Security and Data Protection as well as Sales at BREDEX GmbH will assume the role of Chairman of the Board within the CISO Alliance with immediate effect. Together with the also newly elected members of the board, Robert Hellwig (Carmao GmbH) and Bernhard Bonus (BC-Byte GmbH), Kneffel will drive the attractiveness of CISOs in Germany with new formats and offers and build a strong CISO network.
Goals of the new board
“My special thanks go to the old board Ulrich Heun, Werner Stangner and Andreas Maibach for their good work in the last years, through which the CISO Alliance has become more and more important. My work will build on theirs and will be complemented by active change management in the association. With the election as chairman of the board I see myself in the duty to acquire new members and to strengthen the image of the CISOs by a broad public relations work”, says Ron Kneffel. New members should see what weight their voices will have throughout Europe. At the same time, their roles and responsibilities in the economy, companies and politics should be actively strengthened. “Only by increasing CISO attractiveness will we be able to attract young, talented junior staff and grow the CISO Alliance in the coming years. The open culture of cooperation with business and industry associations that has been practiced until now will, of course, be maintained.” Ron Kneffel, as the new chairman of the board, will not only support the CISO Alliance with his expertise in information security, but also convince many companies of the importance of CISOs with the help of his broad reach. The CISO Alliance is gaining an innovative expert who, with his forward thinking and knowledge, will bring about elementary changes in Germany’s CISO culture in the coming years and help to achieve its own goals.
