Visitors’ book
Recording and registration of visitors
For a customer from the food industry, visitor management processes were visualized by means of diagrams, structured and managed in requirements and implemented by a developer. The implemented processes are now fully digitally mapped and run automatically, error-free and time-saving.
Challenge
In the food industry, strict hygiene requirements apply, which make the recording and verification of personal data of a visitor indispensable. For this reason, our client needed a simple and time-saving solution for capturing and registering visitors as well as the automated provision of documents such as visitor cards. The aim of the project was to digitally map the registration and deregistration process of visitors as far as possible and to fulfil the above-mentioned requirements.

Methods
Our Requirements Engineer recorded the customer’s requirements in a requirements workshop and depicted them in a flowchart. This gave both the customer and our requirements engineer a good overview of the registration process from the visitor’s point of view. From this diagram it was possible to systematically derive requirements and integrate them into the project management tool Jira for better requirements management. The developer’s work was organized via a kanban board.
Solution
The work of the Requirements Engineer helped to capture the very specific and individual requirements of the customer in a precise and comprehensible way. This allowed the development team to tailor the software to the specific needs of the customer and ensure that the implemented solution met expectations.
